A poem I wrote from the perspective of a cat (sort of).

When was the last time you brushed my fur,

or gave me a bath?

You have not been receiving adequate sleep, I'm quite sure

for the fear of incurring your professor’s wrath.

I tore your new dress

and slept on your filthy bed.

But darling, you need to quit taking so much stress

and stop pretending to be a zombie who's been decaying and dead.

I suppose you left the front door open

and the kitchen lights on,

by the way, my meal's completely frozen

and your pizza delivery man's gone.

In case if you're wondering what I am,

a bird chirping or a fuzzy sloth lounging

or a frightened little lamb...

Well actually, I am a cat. What else were you expecting?

I read your poem to my cat. His response was "meow" which means he and I both liked it. :#)
