A recap of last night's Houston/Toronto Game One.

After sweeping the two game mini series against the Miami Marlins, the Toronto Blue Jays got crushed 13-1 by the Houston Astros last night.

Yordan Alvarez drove in Aledmys Diaz at the top of the fourth inning with a double to put the Astros ahead 1-0.

At the top of the fifth inning, Myles Straw scored on a sacrifice fly by Jose Altuve.

Later in the inning, Houston went ahead 3-0 when Carlos Carrea hit a solo home run.

Martin Maldonado broke the game wide open at the top of the sixth inning with a grand slam.

At the top of the seventh inning, Diaz hit a solo home run.

The Jays got their lone run in the bottom of the seventh when Randal Grichuk hit a solo home run.

At the top of the eighth inning, Maldonado drove in Chris McCormick with a single.

Altuve drove in Straw with a single to put the Astros ahead 10-1.

Then, Correa hit a three run homer.

Maldonado finished the night with five RBIs.

Astro's starting pitcher, Zack Greinke pitched a complete game.

Greinke went nine innings, allowing six hits, an earned run, a walk, and struck out three batters.

Toronto's Teoscar Hernandez went two for three at the plate.

Toronto's starting pitcher, Hyun-Jin Ryu did not have a good game last night.

Ryu went 5.2 innings, allowing seven hits, six earned runs, three walks, and struck out a batter.

At the postgame press conference, Jay's manager, Charlie Montoyo, said that Ryu's command wasn't there last night.

Game Two is later this afternoon.
