The Country Lake

I was crossing a country lake

When the sun was about to escape

The flowers were blooming

And the butterflies were roaming

The birds were chirping with joy

While the farmers were working with the boy

I was crossing a country lake

When the sun was about to escape

Birds were drinking water from the lake

When the sun was about to escape

I saw a squirrel coming to me

I gave him a nut and his face lit up with glee
