Fake news, alternative facts what is real and true

Am I

Am I even living

Or am I just dying

It’s not really clear any more

What effort am I giving

When did I finally stop trying

If pressed to answer

I’d have to say

I’m not sure

Going through the motions

Ceaselessly spinning my wheels

Watching truth, integrity, and honor

Fall by the way

Mired in emotions

Not even knowing what is real

Attempting to do more than just survive

As I tumble from day to day

I liked your poem, ShadyBrady for its introspection. It's good to stop and think about what you believe in and access your efforts with a realistic eye.

Another good poem. I see from your profile that you are open to read requests. I'd really like to hear what you think of my second poem, 'For why this sudden rush of green?'

Keep writing and have fun!
