I wrote this poem as inspiration of black women in My community let me know if you like it and what I could change

No one expected me

I'm a woman

Schooling white businesses men who have been here forever

I'm a black woman

See my magic doesn't just happen when I put gumbo in a pot

No

See my magic comes out when I'm spitting numbers at these fools who didn't think I'll make it

See I'm magical

I'm a woman

I'm special

I'm a black woman

Who makes things happen

I'm better than a super hero

I went from not having a voice at all to

You seeing me spitting truth on tv

See they hate

I scoff at them

I'm magical

IM Magical

I'm a woman

I don't just support my black life

I live it

They threw dirt on my soul on my skin

But I won't back down

Cuz I'm magical

From the time that I rose

I was magical

When they sit in remembrance of me

They will remember the way I walk

Cuz its magical

They way I talk cuz I'm magical

They I dress is magical

MY WHOLE BEING IS MAGICAL

They said I was too young

Too Black to make it

But I scoff at them

Because I'm magical

When they kicked me down

When they belittled me

When they curse me

When they said I couldn't play because I was a woman

When they say that WOMEN

Don't belong in sports it proves one thing

THAT WE ARE MAGICAL

THAT WE ARE BLACK

AND OUR BLACKNESS IS WHAT MAKES US STRONG

AND THAT OUR BLACK IS MAGICAL

THAT WE ARE BLACK MAGICAL WOMEN
