For my Grandma

I'd call and ask if you were well,

You'd ask how my day was and I would tell,

We'd talk about family, church and movies too,

But that'd be the beginning of one more day with you,

We'd go out to eat this time I'm paying,

'Cause I got a new job, thanks for praying,

I'd take you to a restaurant with some really good food,

If I only had one more day with you,

This pandemic is starting to subside by the day,

Maybe now we could see a movie or even a play,

If not, we could just watch a movie at your place too,

Anything just to have one more day with you,

I'd love if you came to my church on Wednesday night,

You could meet my friends and pastor, you'll like them you might,

If you were baptized and recieved the Holy Ghost that'd be cool,

If I just had one more day with you,

It was painful when you went to Heaven,

On a scale of one to ten you were an eleven,

We'll see each other again someday I know it's true,

But I'd give anything just to spend one more day with you.
