A pessimistic subject weaved into innocuous prose.

I wake up in the morning,

and groan about how I wish I never did.

Rubbing my eyes and sleepily yawning,

I look for another excuse to live.

I grab my knapsack,

but wait, oh no! I forgot my English book… Myself, I must forgive,

I look up in the sky, but alas, it’s still midnight black.

Wishing I never saw the dark, I hunt for another excuse to live.

I head for the bus stop,

my shoe's unpolished and I'm dreading the school trip

This Monday morning was a fantastic flop,

and I must fish around for another excuse to live.
