THE GARDEN

By Al Garcia

There is a garden where everything grows and where beauty and evil abound.

It is found beyond the Garden of Eden, but before the garden of stones.  It is nestled between our reality, actuality and eventuality.  It is nurtured and protected.  It is veiled in secrecy and privacy.  No roads can get you there, but a word or thought, or even a dream, can bring you through the gates that guard this secret garden.

The bounties in the garden can sustain beyond a lifetime, and the harms that can be found can also lapse into tomorrows that never end.  There is good and there is evil in the garden.  There are truths and there are lies hidden within the garden.  It is larger than the pedal of a rose, but smaller than the universe.  It thrives on love and hope and imagination, and also seeks out the ugliness and the foul that sometimes escapes into the soil that feeds the essence of the garden.

It is such a beautiful garden.  It’s called the human mind.
