There I sat, looking out onto what was once a small beautiful town.  I closed my eyes as the memories of my childhood flooded back to me.  I couldn’t help but smile just a bit.  I can still hear the local band playing in the middle of town square every Sunday afternoon, everyone of all ages would come together and enjoy.  It was one of a few memories I’ll hold close to my heart.  I opened my eyes and the memories escape me.  Now all I see is what was left behind. Tragic struck here soon after I left.  They never rebuilt, they left the ruins to rot, maybe one day somoene will remember the beauty it once helpd and turn it into someone elses fond memory.
