An old woman's undying love for her husband!

Doggie's Old Bone

When memory fades the life we had

When all the good has turned to bad

If only bitterness remains

In minds that tend to roam

When we have nothing left to say

If you and I have gone astray

Cantankerous old geezers

Flip the dog to take his bone

I will still love you deep inside

For every single tear I've cried

For moments when you held me close

To tell me you were sorry

For every time you called my name

Or played my heart in love’s sweet game

For every youthful sleepless night

The ecstasy and the glory

When age erases beauty’s glow

Our faces eagle and old crow

I’ll cherish how you made me feel

The twinkle in your eyes

When you no longer have desire

To fan the flame or boost the fire

I’ll pucker withered wrinkled lips

Excite you by surprise

I’ll love you ‘til the very end

Whether you are foe or friend

No matter if you cuss all day

Or rudely shuffle by

I’ll think about the night we wed

Flip the dog to take his bed

Steal his bone to make it mine

And hold the trophy high
