A short poem

The world:

Increasingly violent, desperate

And hopeless.

The solution? No solution?

Proper Discernment to distinguish the difference between Love and hatred. that’s the only solution. Love has a slight upper hand because Love is natural hatred has to be taught. For as long as this is true the next revolution is inevitable. By Love, I mean love of self then project that on to others. Everyone operates like a light switch. If you love yourself the light is on, if you don’t you live in darkness. Too many people live in darkness.

I dig the poem. I appreciate you leaving it a question vs a statement that there isn’t a solution

Hi Trindin. I'm not a poet so for one of my feeble attempts to elicit such a well-thought out response, well, I'm taken aback. Your words truly encourage me to become better at the craft.

I'm looking forward to reading your work.

Dear Michael,
Your poem is short by name and short by nature! And good fun prodding at a serious issue.
This is not a professional review either - we're all just having fun passing the time by writing down a few thoughts.
