I just found out that a guy I really like will be moving to a different country (in a couple of days, probably).

Two Years Were Not Enough

I’ve known you for two years now,

and just yesterday I found out

that you’ll be leaving

and starting a new life.

Where? I don’t care.

When? I don’t know.

All I know is,

you’ll be leaving.

I wish you didn’t have to go

I wish I could’ve said more

You knew for a good while

about your damn departure

and you daren’t utter a word.

I’m just dishearteningly disappointed,

y’know?

That would be hard to hear someone is leaving, especially so suddenly. Saying goodbye can be one of the most difficult things we do in our lives. I feel like you really captured that in your poem.
