Well Of Dust

For every last breath

A brand new grain is added

Gathered upon billions more

In a well of dust

Throw the bucket down

The soft puff of something disturbed

Pull it back up

Fill up your cup

Each grain was

Someone who loved

Someone who hated

Someone who was

Alive one day

But not today

Returned to dust

Silent in the well

Lift the cup to your ear

Tell me what you hear

Listen closely to his final breath

Drowned out by sirens wailing

Give ear to her gasp of death

Just as the walls are falling

Raise the cup up to your lip

Don’t be scared, take a sip

Taste the iron as her mouth fills

Unable to hold her own blood

Roll the watery debris around your tongue

As he drowns alone in the flood

Swallow it down

Feel it slide down your throat

Feel the sediment in your lungs

What do you taste?

Long lost loves

Forgotten smiles

Echos of a laugh

Shadows of hate

Silhouettes of trust

They’ve fallen with the rest

At their worst or at their best

They remain silent

Gathered upon billions more

In a well full of dust

The scenario based images, you've created in this piece of work. Are disturbing and yet still awesome!
