Hot, hot, and hotter!

It's one hundred degrees in the shade
And my gumption long ago started to fade,

Upon waking as a matter of record and fact,
This blast-furnace is the Devil's impact

Gumption made like Elvis and split the scene
Skin tone tinged with a fiery-red sheen

If seen, it's a bit tricky and here's why
Do not approach or look him in the eye

Answers to Mike's Gumption, or Dick,
If you see my gumption, call me quick

Heat's melting the windows and doors,
Warping reality and torching our cores,

Burning through our heat shield roof,
And leaving volcano mercury as proof

Never thought I'd look forward to nineties,
Or that I'd consider it a cooling breeze!

It takes so long to get used to it - not that either of us would want to. Excellent, Mike.

I doubt either of us ever could, Hull; thanks
