A poem based on the prompt Deja vu

I was the cool air.

And had been before.

What a crazy feeling to remember without knowing.

To realize my past was on repeat.

And the future would be echoing

Echoing the past of the future already lived.

I was the mist of the morning.

And had been before.

What a sight to see. A landscape identified from a previous reality.

A picture of a world I recognize.

Like a vague dream.

I was the shadow of your sky.

And had been before.

What a chilled sensation to linger low and heavy.

The density of absoluteness

With the knowledge of never ending.

I break

But will rise again.

The cycle of a cloud

Thoughts Before Rem

I honestly have nothing much to say but it was beautiful. For some reason. I got this majestic/romantic feeling from the description of the life of a cloud. This was great.

Dear S. K. Nguyen

This is a lovely poem told from the imagined point of view of a cloud. I really enjoyed your sense of disorientation, of déjà vu, of a life lived in repeats.

I see you are open to read requests. I’d really like to read your thoughts on my latest poem, ‘For why this sudden rush of green ?’

Enjoy your writing !
