taken from my book, "Beyond Free"

About Life

I don't speak much about "life"

"The sprinkles of hate in a valley"

That's what I think about "life"

Thee agony and pain

__that comes with living

I'd rather see the doors shut

Don't open the doors

They lead to a wold

A world I'm not fond of

Instead I'm stuck on Zoom

Not a damned things else to do

__but write in a book

I will see the belly flops of madness

Watch my friends go crazy

Along with me

All because of this thing called "life"

Where nobody gets to live forever

How everybody would like

We're all just here to make some money

We're all here, 'cause God is funny

He gets a kick out of us all suffering

Just trying to keep our jobs

So we can have our money

'Cause let's face it

"If we don't have money, we oughta be dead

'Cause homelessness is not funny"

Sometimes I wonder

__if God laughs at the homeless too

With all that's going on

I'd hope He's satisfied

__with all the pain He's caused

But I know He's not

'Cause we're all still suffering

Trying to do all we want to be done

Before we die

Before God takes us away from living

It hurts that there's so much stuff

That I just have not done yet

But I'm not thee only one

Who's got stuff not crossed off

__of their bucket list yet

But knowing I'm not thee only one

__who is suffering

____don't make it any less harder

______to go on

________living a life with almost no one

The rooms of recovery are my only means

__of interaction

Now that my volunteer job

__is demanding

____that I either show up at 8:30 A.M.

______or not show up at all

And that's a 2 hour commute

So a book is where I turn to

Thee only place left for me to be

For now

I felt they agony and the longing quest for contentment that life only offers even the most well adjusted folks just a taste of the good stuff. Just a sip from the chalice of happiness. Good work.

Thanks. It was actually segested by a cat fisher that was cat fishing me on facebook messenger that I write her a poem about life. And this was it. I then found out she was only cat fishing me. That's the fucked up part about me and women. Everytime I think I found some one, it turns out I was only being cat fished. What a laugh! But glad to know this poem was not a waste!
