Aurora Richter’s life was always predestined. Groomed to assume her grandmother's role as Leader of their coven. A role she wants nothing to do with. But everything will change this Hallow’s Eve. This year it’s Aurora's Picking, where she’ll finally discover her magical center.

According to her mother Aurora will be a White witch just like the entire long line of Richters before her. But anything can happen under the full moon.

Each year more die from attempting their own Pickings. And nobody ever backs from any of the wayward witches who stray and embrace their dark callings. Even with her most loyal companion, Kol and her wits, Aurora will have her work cut out for herself.

But she has no choice. If she can manage to survive the night she’ll be able to leave the small down she’s been chained to since birth. Some chains are impossible to break and will forever weigh you down. Nothing is heavier than the obligation of blood.
