I've come to bloom

In the middle of June

Oh what a sight

Dancing with the light

Got lost in my mind

Was blind

Couldn’t see the sun

Soon to come undone

Tightly wrapped in the dark

A bud on a stalk

Reaching for the unknown

Not yet fully grown

Washed in morning dew

The world's brand new

These glorious days

Of magnificent rays

The birds and the bees

Nectar so sweet

Pollen for feed

A womb for seeds

Joy to life I bring

Souls I cause to sing

Then color begins to fade

Of nothing I am made

Soon I will disappear

My memory to be seared

In the hearts and minds of men

Till I bloom again
