She sat their reaping the rewards of her treacherous journey, mountains standing proud for all to see, a dense mist coating them like a blanket smothering a new-born. A swell of cool air stung as it touched her bare face, she looked out to see an accomplishment, an attempt for perfection lead to this moment, resting on this rock looking out to see no perfection, but in fact, nature. Her whole life Claire had strived for excellence, from winning petty squabbles to creating an enterprise, she had been trying to make what humanity has called ‘Money’. Humans have created this game that we play, fighting for possessions, when we were never intended to, for we were intended to survive, nothing more. Now we focus on thriving, and Claire had fallen straight into this category, naïve of possessions humanity has deemed necessary, and never opening her eyes to see that we are doing nothing more than categorizing things and attempting to cure other man-made problems. Fascinating and complex, just like humanity, nature bares certain similarities, but make no mistake it is nothing like man, for it does not crave, obsess or shy away from its in-perfections, it is there for all to see, its majesty and glory gleaming. She took a moment, and breathed in that rich, intense, and powerful oxygen, and in that moment, she saw it all. Clouds lay just above the jagged rocks, a burst of colour immerging out from the forest, she snuggled it to her turquoise cloak, and saw what man lacks. Possession and control were never meant to be seen in the world, but yet that’s all humanity can think of, mankind thinks as if they are the reason the galaxy exists, and that is the difference between man and nature.

Sometimes we look for the wrong things in life, and we need to see what is it we should truly be seeking. Great story, I really enjoyed the message you were showing.
