A short story of 200 words.

On an eerie silent night, a boy was born with a wailing vein. Crying at top of his lungs, making the parents worrisome. As the days passed and the boy grew, the wailing did not stop. Everybody complained from neighbors to bovines. But his wailing never stopped.

Boy’s parents took him everywhere from saints to sadists, from doctors to shamans. Still, the wailing of the child never stopped.

Years and years passed by the boy tried to control his wailing. He hid it beautifully by wailing in his silent sobs. Still did not understand why he was crying about.

On an uncanny night, the boy was muffling his wailing in his pillow white. He heard a high-pitched wailing of an injured feline. It intrigued him to know who and what made such a painful cry.

On investigating he found an injured kitty with her paws tangled on a barbed line, with a smooth flow of blood aligned. He freed her and petted her head. Trying to comfort her from the pain. The feline licked his face. That made him giggled. As the sound left from his lips left, he was shocked. It was the first time he smiled. Looking back at the feline, he knew why he was born with a wailing vein.
