A recap of last night's Toronto/Tampa Bay Game One.

After fresh off a three game sweep over the Cleveland Indians, the Tampa Bay Rays won their fifth straight game last night, defeating the Toronto Blue Jays 7-1.

George Springer's RBI single at the top of the third inning produced the lone run for the Blue Jays.

In the bottom of the third, the Rays began to hammer the Jays.

Austin Meadows hit a two run single in the bottom of the third to put the Ray's ahead 2-1.

Up 3-1 in the bottom of the sixth inning, Jin-Man Choi hit two run single to put the Rays up 5-1.

Choi drove in three runs last night.

Taylor Walls put the game out of reach with a two run double in the bottom of the seventh inning.

Ray's starting pitcher, Shane McClanahan lasted just four innings, but struck out five batters.

The Ray's bullpen was a factor in last night's win.

Ray's reliever, Andrew Kittredge pitched two innings and retired all six batters,

Jay's starting pitcher, Alek Monoah lasted just 3.2 innings, however, he still managed to strike out nine batters.

The Rays improve their overall record to 52-36.

Tampa tries to make it six in a row later this afternoon.
