Lowe And Good Pitching Helps Tampa In Win

A recap of yesterday's Toronto/Tampa Bay Game Two.

The Tampa Bay Rays won their sixth straight game yesterday afternoon, defeating the Toronto Blue Jays 5-2.

Tampa's Brandon Lowe had a good day at the plate, hitting two home runs and driving in three runs.

Lowe put the Rays up 1-0 with a solo home run in the bottom of the first inning.

Lowe hit a two run homer in the bottom of the third inning.

Randy Arozarena hit a RBI single in the bottom of the eighth inning.

The Ray's pitching was also a factor.

Ray's starting pitcher, Ryan Yarbrough threw 104 pitches in five innings, allowing just two earned runs and struck out four batters.

Tampa's bullpen was also good, allowing just one hit.

The Jay's got their two runs at the top of the third inning when Marcus Semien hit a two run homer.

Jay's starting pitcher, Ross Stripling lasted just 3.2 innings.  He did, however, struck out five batters.

Tampa goes for the sweep this afternoon.
