What I do know, though, is this: Next time someone tells you there's nothing puzzling about the concept of 'unfortunate childhood', tell them it's all good and nice until you run out of time…

Life used to be mostly effortless if you were a telephone engineer. You dealt with some horns here, and more of the same there, and that was it.

But not anymore for Elijah.

The day had seemed just like any other before an unpredictable but opulent woman, Olivia, showed up. The phrase 'sensational discovery' might not seem like anything complex or cumbersome, but ask Elijah and you might change your mind.
