Poem about romance

We are too wise to woo under the mistletoe
Our hearts are buried where love doesn’t grow
Hiding from the sting of a rose we drown
In the moonless sea owning cupid no debt

We could be fools and accept Venus bet
Shall we be bold and murder wisdom pet
Tomorrow can be where dreams can grow
But we are too wise to grow that mistletoe
