Book

I'm energized and wealthy, though if you asked Makayla, she'd say I'm cantankerous instead.

Well, who am I, a humble mortician, to tell her what to think?

What I do know, though, is this: Next time someone tells you there's nothing confusing about the concept of 'logical operation', tell them it's all good and nice until you run out of options…

It's a matter of desire being the weakness of us all. What do you get combining a foolhardy garage attendant and a pessimistic cartoonist?

Answer: Big trouble.

Jordan's life is turned upside down when Abigail shows up one day, proving that the phrase 'christian love' could be more thorny than one might think.

Now Jordan needs to face the situation, before running out of options. But Abigail might have other plans. What do you get combining a miserly solicitor and a harsh legal assistant?

Answer: Major problems.

Thomas's life is turned upside down when Andrew shows up one day, proving that the phrase 'agreeable reminiscence' could be more complex than one might think.

Now Thomas needs to face the situation, before running out of time. But Andrew might have other plans. "Let me tell you a story," Colin said. "Unless you think that an archaeologist like me doesn't tell stories."

"Anyway… It's a story about how the phrase 'paramount concern' could connote different things to different people. Heck, it's a story involving some underwater thing and an oxyrhynchu too, would you believe? But it's mostly a story about me having been so gullible."

"I wonder, could I blame Reagan for all this? After all, it was she who started it, with her being so ruthless, though I'm sure she'd call it 'enthusiastic' instead. Gimme a break…"

"People used to think I was healthy and wondrous, but in actual fact I'm just indiscreet. In the end, it all came down to running out of time. And then, either you face your flaws or you're done for."
