Set before The Olympians and Dark Reign but after Wendigo and the Guard and Rivals. This shows how wide spread the organization truly is.

Johnny Deckerson, a thirty something jock of a man, was in the training room doing some target practice. But unlike most people he didn’t have a gun or bow or anything. All he had were his hands. Which shot a faint blueish white light from them. He performed many unnecessary trick shots. He even blew his last target a kiss goodbye.  Johnny was satisfied with his performance but he was still bored. He needed something real to shoot. He wanted an audience to amaze. He turned on the auto cleaners and left the room. The main hall had a few scientists moving about, all relaying messages. A pair of men in robes chanted in front of a floating orb. Half human, half beast creatures walked along with no one giving them an awkward glance. A large symbol of a sword with wings was imprinted on the floor. The word Archangel over the logo. A wall nearby had the text Order of Light with a mass amount of portraits, a memorial to the past fallen warriors. The Order originated centuries ago and had a wide array of well-known and often thought mythical heroes. Over the years they expanded across the globe, each place giving themselves a new code name. They were in charge of keeping monsters at bay and secret from the human world.  Johnny walked up to man at a computer “Hey Stew, anything cool going on that needs my attention?” he asked “My name is Stewart, thank you. And no.” the man at the computer said. “Seriously?” Johnny asked “Nothing. In all of America. No Vampires, werewolves. A pissed off elf?” “No Mr. Deckerson, and you know full well our location only monitors Washington and the surrounding states, not all of America.” Johnny gave Stewart an unwelcome nuggie “That’s still a big area, hard to believe everything is quiet.” “I don’t know what to tell you.” Stewart said. Johnny stepped back and gave a noise of disappointment. He saw Peter Cunningham, a slightly less out of shape guy than Johnny, walk by “Yo Pete!” Peter stopped “Sup John?” “You wanna get out of here and grab a beer?” it was a dumb question, Peter always wanted a beer “Hell yeah.” Johnny turned back to Stewart as they walked away “Call me if anything interesting comes up Stew.” The two men walked off and Stewart seemed happy to go back to work without the pair around.

The other scientists continued their work as usual. Sargent Major Roger Kennedy an elderly war hero came in to the main hall and talked to strange creatures that had gathered there about what was expected. “You will be allowed to live wherever you wish as long as no harm comes to any humans. I know some might be dumb enough to enter your respective territories but that doesn’t give you an excuse to kill them. Just stay hidden if possible, it will be easier for us all. We all want peace and quiet and we all deserve that. If something does happen we will wipe the human’s memory. If the worst happens we will be forced to take you down.” Roger returned to his bland office and pushed a button. A hallowgram of two elderly men, one of which still strong looking with a thick full beard and a middle-aged woman in armor stood in the room. “Greetings Zeus. Ms. Pendragon. Le Baugh.” “How’s everything going down there?” Le Baugh asked?” “Right now things are oddly slow in our area but it may just be the calm before the storm. So, why isn’t Merlin joining us?” “He is training Victoria.” Sasha Pendragon said. She was a beautiful woman and strong warrior as anyone would expect from a descendant of King Arthur. “Wasn’t there a better time to do that?” Zeus asked. He was not really the king of the Greek gods, it was just a code name. Much like his son had been made Hercules, though both men had had a great extension on their life due to their powers. “Her training is very important, you know that.” Sasha said. “Fine.” Zeus said “Where are we on the Vamp-wolf war?” he asked her “Both sides are being kept at bay thanks to Van Helsing and Shiako. Neither wants to face his power.” Shiako was a grand warlock with an army of wizards and witches. Elrik Van Helsing was also a descendant of the original. “Well, I trust Van Helsing but you know Shiako has his own agenda.” Roger said. “Obviously.” Sasha said “He wants to take over the world too, which is why Merlin is training Victoria. We need more power on our side.” “Ok, I get it.” Zeus said “Sorry, I didn’t mean to take a jab at you sir.” Zeus waved it off. “Anything else we need to worry about?” Le Baugh asked “Our seers say there will be an issue in Florida in a week.” Roger said. “But it hardly seems like something that will be that much trouble.” “Sure would be nice if or prediction team could be less vague.” Zeus said “We’re going to be having a gorgon problem here but they can’t say when.” “Indeed.” Roger said “But the info is good when it counts. We were able to stop those mole-men from causing an earthquake last year.” The others nodded “We should try to get more of our branches involved in these meeting sometime.” Le Baugh said “This is my first in a while it seems.” “We’ll let each other know when something big is on the way but otherwise this is just a formality.” Roger said “I guess we’re done then?” Sasha asked “For now, yes.” Roger said “Good luck with those gorgon’s Zeus.” Sasha said before flashing off “As if my team needs luck with such things.” Zeus said and he and Le Baugh disappeared as well.

Roger turned and a photo on his desk caught his eye, he went over and picked it up. Himself as a General with two other men, they were all much younger then. Though it was there all the time, most times he saw it brought back memories. Twenty years ago, Korea. General Roger Kennedy led a small group into a battle zone. They fired on the unseen enemy and retreated to a nearby village. Whoever was after them had been controlling the village for goods and using the women for other needs. The mission was to liberate the village. The team took out the guards along the way but there was still someone out there shooting at them from somewhere, they needed cover. Roger directed a five man group to circle around behind the shooter or shooters. He had three guard the back four in front. They kept themselves defended while taking out the enemy nearby. They waited for the gunfire from the woods to stop. One man near Roger was shot in the head and went down. The rest regrouped and tried to find new cover. A small group of Korean soldiers came from behind a building and were mowed down by gunfire. The team could hear civilians hiding in fear. Roger sent three of the men around the village to remove any more unwanted visitors. It left him with the two men from the picture. The gunfire from outside died down and a whistle was heard. The enemy was taken out. That was one less problem. “Derek. William. Watch each other.” Roger commanded the two. They all stood almost back to back to back as they wandered the village, they heard another commotion. Two people yelling. They moved to the area the voices were coming from to seem men attacking a child. William rushed them and clubbed one in the back of the head. He fell unconscious and the other ran off only to be shot. William went to help the boy up, the little one looked up. He had small horns and his eyes glowed yellow. William stumbled back and raised his gun to the child as Derek and Roger came up. William’s gun flew out of his hand and into Roger’s “What are you doing?” he asked. Derek looked at the child in confusion then even more confusion at Roger Kennedy. “What the hell is it, sir?” William said “And how do you have my gun now? What the hell is going on?” Derek looked at the scared child and suddenly that was all he saw. He pulled out a candy bar which the child slowly took. “This child is an innocent victim.” Roger said “Treat him as such.” Derek nodded, though he still looked confused. “But what is he?” William said “What are you?” he pulled his side arm, Roger waved his hand and the gun flew away again. William fell over and screamed “What the fuck!” “Calm yourself, please.” Roger said “Are you…Do you have telekinesis?” Derek asked, starting to get a little impressed. “You mean powers?” William said “Yes.” Roger said “My...organization gave me them?” “The army?” William said and stood. “No. Another, higher authority.” Roger said “Do you know what we could do if we had more men with these powers?” William asked. Roger pulled out a small device “Just forget everything you saw here.” he said as he pressed the button.

In Greece, Zeus left his office after the meeting and entered an equally large and lavish lobby area full of grand pillars and sculptures. There was the same memorial wall with the original name, Order of light. On the floor, a different logo was in place. A Delta with a lightning bolt through it surrounded by the typical leafy border. The word Olympians over it. Much the same as the American counterpart, there were scientists, workers and all kinds of creatures walking about. A blue streak zipped past Zeus, papers flying everywhere “Mercury, slow down.” Zeus demanded. Mercury, dressed in a blue shirt and jeans, stopped and looked at the mess. He looked apologetically and cleared up the mess in a flash. Mercury was also a code name, his real name was Trent Moralis. “Sorry sir.” Trent said “Have you seen my son?” Zeus asked “Him and Lance went out. Looking for the labyrinth.” Lance was Lance Diakos. He had inherited his family’s eyes which could see through magic, mind control and other things to see the truth. He was an asset and the team leader. “They’ve been looking for that for almost a decade, when are they going to give up?” Zeus asked “We have better things to do. And what if we need them?” Trent tried not to look afraid but he failed. He did not want to get on Zeus’s bad side. A somewhat large female came up and slightly bowed “Sir, we have a small troll issue in Athens.” She said “See.” Zeus said “Well, you two might be able to handle it but bring a team with you. I’ll try to call Hercules and Lance back to meet you. Artemis, if they don’t get there, you’re in charge.” Artemis, AKA Lana Katia, nodded and the two of them walked away.

Johnny and Peter, were still at the bar. Johnny was nursing his four beer while Peter had downed his eleventh and ordered a twelfth. “Jeeze, slow down there Pete.” Johnny said. “You know, I barley feel anything, thanks to my power.” Peter said “Ex-nay on the powers.” Johnny whispered. Johnny looked up at the TV, his sports team was doing lousy. “Dumb asses forgot how to play or something.” He said. A news flash broke in, mentioning an African-American who was fighting some skin heads. They showed the scene, after giving the usual warning, and the black man threw a truck at three men. The station cut back to the reporters before it hit. “Well, looks like something interesting is going on after all.” Johnny said with a smirk. He dropped a fifty and stood “Let’s go check it out.” He said and started to walk away. Peter received his next beer and went to pick it up before being dragged off by Johnny.

At the scene, the man had killed a half dozen skin heads, police were unable to stop him but for the most part, remained unharmed. “Just let me kill these racist fucks.” The man yelled out. His cloths had some wholes from the bullets fired at him but they obviously had no effect. He grabbed one of the white men and started to pull his arms off. “That’s enough.” a voice called out, before Johnny and Peter jumped the barricade put up. “What do you think you’re doing?” the lead officer yelled out “Your job.” Johnny said back. Peter seemed only slightly dazed still so Johnny gave him a slap “Come on man, let’s get to work.” He said. Peter rushed as the black man finished the deed on the man he had. Peter punched him in the face but the face only slightly budged, the guy felt his cheek as if surprised he felt that. “So, you guys want to die too, huh?” he said “Fine.” He hit Peter who flew back into a car. Johnny had gone around unnoticed and kicked at the back of the guy’s knee, trying to take him down. It did nothing. Johnny clubbed him in the back and he slowly turned, as if just now realizing someone was there. The officers were not impressed with the help so far. Peter grabbed the man in a full nelson, he struggled for a few seconds and Johnny shot him in the face with a blinding blast. The officers had no idea where the blast came from but it was working. Though he broke out of the hold, he was now temporarily blinded. He spun around and swung wildly at Peter hitting his jaw, his head spun back but this time Peter stood his ground. He returned the punch, it had little affect though caught the guy off guard. Peter hit him a few more times as he tried to clear his vision. “Hey jackass.” He heard behind him. He turned and could just make out the shadow of a man. Johnny had lowered to one knee, his palms directed up towards his enemies chest. A great blast of light knocked the opponent into the air and he crashed back down. Peter noticed he was still moving and grabbed a car door that broke off during the previous fight and smashed it over the guy’s head three times. He was finally out and the officers moved in to cuff him, whatever good that would do. “What the heck weapon was that?” the team leader asked “Sorry, above your pay grade.” Johnny said and Peter and he casually walked away, Johnny waving to the cheering crowd. This was more like it.

In England, Walter Drake, a man in his late fifties but still looking quite young and Max & Pamela Reed, a couple in their early forties walked in a pair of succubae. Max was carrying a net launcher that was needed to capture the pair.  “We have a right to eat, you know.” One of the creatures screeched “That may be true but not humans. You have been luring men into a damn whore house.” Pamela said “That’s not just murder, that’s prostitution.” Walter said. In honesty, they had gotten away with it for a few weeks, until an agent went in for a surprise checkup. They walked the two past the same wall, the logo here was the sword in the stone with the word Excalibur over it. They walked the succubae into the cell block where vampires, gremlins and banshee were also locked up. The banshee had mussels over their mouths. The harpies were thrown into a cell near the gremlins and Walter went off to do the paper work. Max and Pamela went to another science lab full of all kinds of equipment and gadgets. Max returned the net launcher to the tech in charge, a man in his late sixties. “Thanks Whistler.” He said “Came in handy did it?” Whistler asked “Would have been so much more difficult without it.” Max admitted.

Back in the American complex, Roger was working on his computer, going over the week’s cases when Sargent Derek Ward, the other man from the photo came in. “Sir we have a problem.” Roger could tell it was pretty serious, Derek didn’t even salute. “What is it?” John and Peter went out, they were seen using their powers.” Roger stood and slammed his desk “Those damn idiots.” “We got lucky though sir, from what I can tell, any witnesses think John used some light based weapon.” “Can we track down the witnesses? We may need to whip their memory anyway.” “No sir, the officers invalid we can but random passersby, no. If any video is posted anywhere however, we’ll remove it at once.” Roger whipped his hand down his face and groaned in frustration “Send those drunken morons to my office as soon as they get in.” The head doctor/scientist, an elderly man in his seventies rushed in “Sir, we have an issue.” “Now what?” Roger said in complete annoyance. “I did an inventory and we’re missing several elixirs. As well as the standard ingredients. ” he said. Elixir was what they used to give each of their members the enhanced powers they receive. Some modifications are made occasionally since the base form gives a random power. “What the hell do you mean?” Roger demanded “Someone stole the ability to make enhanced beings?” “Y-yes sir.” The old man stammered “Lock down the facility, search everyone. No one goes in or out…Except John and Peter.” Both men in the office left. Roger pressed a button on his desk and the intercom sounded. “Everyone report to the main hall now.” Roger demanded.

In Athens Artemis, Mercury and a small team of men and women landed in a field. The troll was smashing a building. It had wandered to the border of the city and things got out of control very quickly. Mercury drew some discuses from a side compartment on his new outfit but Artemis stopped him “Hold on, this guy is actually pretty young.” She said “It probably thinks it’s playing.” “Well it’s playing pretty damn ruff.” Mercury said “Hey, at least it didn’t wander farther into town. That would have been much harder to cover up.” She said. She approached the troll slowly “Hey little guy.” She said even though the little guy was nine feet tall. He turned to her and tilted his head “Let’s be a good boy and go back home shall we?” Artemis said. A few men in the team entered the house and pulled the household to safety. They’d make necessary repairs and wipe their memory of the event afterwords. Artemis reached her hand out in a gentle manner “Come on, let’s go.” The young troll took her hand, squeezing just a bit too hard but she tried to not let it show. She led the troll back to the woods, with the rest of the crew keeping close. Just outside a large cave they saw the mother troll, she was twelve feet tall. She also didn’t look to happy that some humans had her child. The mother bellowed “Easy, we’re just returning your kid.” Artemis said. The mother charged, the child let go of Artemis and ran to its mom. The mother took the child and ran to the cave. Artemis let out a sigh. Then another bellow came. The fourteen foot tall father came out and roared “Everyone get back.” She ordered and they did, all except Mercury. He ran around the father causing a distraction and confusion as the team got away. The dizzy father stumbled away and Mercury returned to Artemis “It’s a good day when you don’t have to kill something.” He said and they left the family be. The team would return later to build a wall or something.

In the Archangel lobby, all staff, lockers and visitors were being searched. No mention was made of what they were searching for. Roger didn’t need that information getting out if it didn’t need to. He was pacing in front of the memorial wall as he waited for their equipment to be found. If that got out into the wrong hands, Roger thought. Josephine Leosa, an African-American woman, Derek and three other well trusted solder looking men came up and saluted Roger “Did you find it?” he asked, not bothering to salute back “No sir, we searched everyone.” A young man suddenly appeared before them, all of them got startled “Damn it Cody, what have I told you about doing that?” Roger scowled “Sorry sir.” Cody had the power to turn invisible and always forgot to become visible before standing beside people. “We searched everywhere but no sign of the elixir or the thief. Sir.” Cody said. “Who was on door duty?” Derek escorted Roger to a pair of men “Did you see anyone leave?” Roger asked “We only started our shift a half hour ago sir.” One of them claimed. “You started two hours ago.” Roger corrected “Which means our thief also stole a memory wiper and got away. Find out who’s missing. NOW!” The guards, Derek, Cody and the rest scrambled. “Sir, we need to let the others know about the theft now.” Josephine stated. Roger sighed, he knew she was right but this was still going to look very bad. “How the hell could this happen?” he asked, Josephine wished she had an answer. She wished she could track the culprit down but they still needed to know who was behind it. “We obviously need better security measures.” Roger said as he returned to his office. A woman in a cloak was waiting for him, her old face hidden from view. “Tell me you know who stole our samples.” He asked her. Her eyes started to glow and she waved her hands “I see a balding man with glasses, a lab coat with a coffee stain.” “I need a name, please.” He said “I see money being exchanged. A war. Fire.” Roger took a seat at his desk and waited, tapping his finger on his desk impatiently. “I see a solder. Someone you know. Someone you trained.” She said. “What?” Roger said, “l’ve trained many. The only one who knows we exist is Derek. He’s one of us. I trust him.” The seer waved her hands more “Not him. Another. Our thief met him.” She said “But who is he? Where are they now?” Roger slammed the desk. Derek knocked at the door, the old woman stopped what she was doing. “John and Peter are here sir.” Derek said “Tell them to wait outside my office, I’m busy. Continue.” He told the seer as Derek left Josephine entered with a file, she placed it on the desk “Norman Cludd.” She said. Roger opened the file and showed it to the seer “Is this the guy you see?” she looked at the photo “Yes.” “Excellent. Get everyone out there, find him.” Josephine started to leave “Oh and.” Roger said, she stopped “Send those buffoons in.”

John and Peter stood at the door to Roger Kennedy’s office, he was clearly not impressed. On his screen was a video that their team was able to stop from getting out to the world. It showed the light show, it also showed the slaughter before the two men got there. Roger glared at them, both were sober as heck now. “Good job bringing down this man.” Roger said but before they could feel relief “That being said, you two got very lucky that the police believed you were using some type of weapon. But there were a lot of witnesses there who might have noticed your hands were empty the whole time. You were reckless and stupid. You could have risked our operation here.” “Uhhh.” Johnny started, Roger gave him a look as if saying this better be good “You’re not going to…fire us or something? Are you?” Roger looked at them and waited, let them squirm a bit “You know I can’t do that. It’s not like we can take your powers away once you have them.” The two started to relax just a bit “But you’re both on probation for three weeks. No missions. You’ll be on clean up duty at most.” “Aw, come on.” Johnny said. Roger glared and they both left in a rush. Now came the part that was less fun, explaining the situation to all the other branches. He knew there was nothing any of them could do about it, this was his problem. But they still needed to know this problem was out there.

In Northern France Elrik Van Helsing, late eighties, was in a tense negotiations with Piator Le Shan, Albert Wallace and Helen Yashiankovic. Leaders of werewolf clans. They were slightly easier to deal with than the vampires. Many of them would even be considered “good guys” since they more often killed criminals, other creatures, especially vampires and others they considered threats to a peaceful way of life or who took advantage of their power. “You know we are holding off our war with the vampires.” Helen said in a thick Russian accent “So why do you come to us? You are not welcome here, wolf killer.” “You know I only kill the bad ones.” Elrik said “I am here to help. We can get rid of our common enemy, or at least the more powerful vampires. Also...one of your underlings killed a man. A doctor.” The three looked at each other “So you wish for us to give you this killer, our own kind, in exchange for what?” Piator asked in a French accent “We already told you we are at peace. Do not make us start up the war again. Shiako will eliminate us if we go near his territory.” “I know Lakshmi is hiding with him, which is part of the problem.” Lakshmi was the second highest ranked and oldest vampire “They seek an alliance which none of us can allow.” Elrik said. “This victim was a doctor you say?” Albert asked “Yes.” Elrik said. The three conferred with each other “We still cannot make a hasty move against the magic users.” Helen said “But we will send a well-trained scout to collaborate your claim.” “You know that if this is true Lakshmi is going against the count as well?” Piator asked, the count was indeed the famous count Dracula, he did not enjoy most of the movie about him. “Exactly, if it’s true, the count will go after him for us.” Elrik said “The one you accuse will face trial. Speak his name and then leave.” Helen said “Tyago Smirnoff.” He said, bowed and left.

Back in Washington. The police are not suppressed to see the cell of Muhammad Jubi Lowell, the super strong man arrested earlier, empty. The bars were bent and a crude face with the tongue sticking out was carved into the wall, possibly by hand. They were waiting for equipment from B.R.A.I.N. tech in Dardon to arrive, it was supposed to turn his powers off. Problem was, he needed to be wearing it. At least they had the devise for whenever they managed to catch him again.
