Sometimes you need a little wind under your wings to set things to rights

Sometimes it feels

Like I’m stuck where I am

With no purpose

No direction

No clue

No plan

Like I was planted

In the soil

Like one of these trees

My life rooted to this town

Up to the knees

But then a breeze

Rides the tide

Right to my back door

It lifts me free

From the earth

So I’m not stuck
