Say a Little Prayer

It may be cloudy outside, but my heart shines inside

Holding on by a thin rope

Tied to a pillar of hope

Sometimes life’s just not fair

Today is less despair, And the reason for us being there

Is because you care, and said a little prayer

At times, couldn’t see the forest through the trees

On my knees, begging please, looking to the sky asking why

It’s been quite the scare, I said a little prayer

They say they’re  many roads leading to Rome, I’ll take the one that brings him home

Under observation so all we can do is wait

Allow the transfusions to help his blood cells

regenerate

We just may survive this with time to spare

Thanks to UC Davis, a thong, and a little prayer
