Her stolen rotund (unmistakably cute) dressed in a black garbage bag imitation of a witch's robes.

All because they called trash black...


I cloaked myself in red.

I sat at the bottom of the stairwell, feeling a sensation no words have yet described, but perhaps awe comes close. Sad awe. ,listening to Avery's silent depictions of Marcy.

I stood at the rear of the shop, in the midst of the gloom of terror.

I was listening to Bobby McFerrin's Don't Worry, Be Happy and doing the running man. The creature that inhabited the shop pretended not to be there, but I knew better: She was hiding.
