I couldn't think of anything else, so I wrote what I felt as I stared on an empty page.

Emptiness, as the void grows near

There is no sound, no thought

Pure nothingness. An absent mind

Vast as space

Where time is fiction and reality is a dream

My mind searches for meaning

For a silent voice that has been lost

But my head is heavy

What should I sacrifice

To hear that voice I lost so many years ago?

What can I give to see without eyes?

Will the void become something that I’m unaware of?

If it does, when will it come so I can stop feeling crazy?

I don’t know and I never will know,

as I drift within the darkest part of my mind

Empty and abstract and unknown

As scared as I may be

I am dying to know
