A recap of yesterday's Texas/Toronto double header.

The Toronto Blue Jays shut out the happless Texas Rangers in yesterday's double header, sweeping the three game series.

At the postgame press conference, Jay's manger, Charlie Montoyo credited good pitching for yesterday's wins.

Game One

The Jays defeated the Rangers 5-0 in the first game.

Lourdesa Gurriel Jr. and Teoscar Hernandez scored on routine groundouts.

Bo Bichette hit a RBI single.

George Springer scored a sacrifice fly.

Danny Jansen hit a solo home run in the bottom of the fifth inning.

Jay's starting pitcher, Hyun-Jin Ryu pitched seven inning, allowing no earned runs.

"His, (Ryu's), command was really good today," said Montoyo.

Hyun-Jin Ryu goes the distance.

Ranger's starting pitcher, Kolby Allard pitched 5.1 innings, allowing seven hits, and five earned runs.

Game Two

Gurriel Jr hit a grand slam in the bottom of the first inning in a 10-0 win in the second game of the double header.

Gurriel Jr. had four RBIs yesterday.

Randal Grichuk hit a two run homer.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr and Springer both hit solo home runs.

Hernandez hit a RBI double.

Jay's starter, Steven Matz pitched five innings, allowing no earned runs.

Ranger's starter, Mike Foltynewicz pitched just 1.2 innings, allowing 10 earned runs.

Toronto hosts the Boston Red Sox tonight.

Boston lost two out of three games against the New York Yankees this past weekend.
