The twittering of birds outside my window takes me back to my hometown

How I miss the day when I was roaming around

I was alone but I was never lonely
Went to the abandoned paddy field and catched tiny colourful fighting fish
Screamed at the fat blood sucking horrible leeches
Chased the majestic dragonflies
Catched unlucky beetles, and then watched them fly
Climbed guava trees and watched villagers pass by

From afar I heard my mum calling
"The sun is going down, come home now"
I ran home, skirt billowing
Skin darkening but happy

yeah, I too remember that bliss of childhood when we were in the moment, in nature, in the real world, and not in our adult obsession with career and respect. I could feel the heat of the sun on my skin as I read your story. We all seem to lose our innocence as we grow up.

Thank you for the comment????. Actually I love to do more flowery prose, but it's quite hard for me. Would love to try it thought.
