A recap of last night's Toronto/New York Mets Game Two.

George Springer robs Met's Brandon Nimmo of extra bases.

Good defense and five home runs helped the Toronto Blue Jays hammer the New York Mets last night 10-3

It was a huge third inning for Toronto's George Springer.

Moved up to the lead off spot, Springer opened the scoing at the top of the inning with a solo home run.

Then in the bottom of the inning, Springer robbed Met's Brandon Nimmo of an extra base hit with a spectacular catch deep in the outfield.

"That was the best play I've seen this year for sure," said Jay's manager, Charlie Montoyo on Springer's catch.

Marcus Semien hit a three run homer at the top of the fifth inning to put Toronto ahead 6-0.

Semien had three RBIs last night.

The Mets almost rallied back in the bottom of the fifth with RBI singles by Nimmo, Pete Alonso, and Dominic Smith.

Bo Bichette put the Jays up 7-3 with a solo home run at the top of the seventh inning.

Bichette also had a RBI at the top of the ninth inning.

Bichette went three for four at the plate.

Toronto's Teoscar Hernandez hit two home runs and had four RBIs.

Jay's starting pitcher, Hyun-Jin Ryu pitched 4.1 innings, allowing just three earned runs, and a walk.

Met's starting pitcher, Taijuan Walker pitched four innings, allowing nine hits, and six earned runs.

The Mets were trying to get Springer. He had a good game last night. Bluejays just need to put a 6-8 game winning streak. But not against the Mets. Mets won today 5-4 Yanks I think are done.

Yes. I heard the Mets tried to get Springer.

As for the Yankees, ESPN Radio in New York are lambasting the team something awful.

Who can blame them, the Yankees had a terrible weekend series against the Red Sox.
