With my coffee in the morning to start my day
Sometimes I need to give it that little extra
Not by adding more sugar, or flavored creamer
But to Irish it up as they use to say
A wee bit of whiskey as an eye opener
To put a perspective on my day
Can't Irish up my coffee at work
Even though I could sneak a dram with me
But for my evening coffee
A bit of the barley in my dark roast
To smooth the events of the human race
