The Seattle Mariners surged in the late innings last night to hammer the Toronto Blue Jays 9-3.
Ty France put the Mariners ahead 2-0 in the bottom of the first inning with a two run homer.
At the top of the second inning, Teoscar Hernandez hit a solo home run.
Then, at the top of the third inning, Hernandez hit a RBI single to tie the game 2-2.
In the bottom of the seventh inning, Toronto's George Springer injured his left ankle chasing after a fly ball.
Thankfully, Springer suffered a mild sprain and probably be out for just two games.
In the bottom of the seventh, Luis Torrens hit a two run homer to put Seattle ahead 5-3.
Later in the inning, Jared Kelenic hit a solo home run.
Abraham Toro hit a RBI single in the bottom of the eighth inning.
Then, Torrens hit a RBI double.
Torrens went two for four at the plate and had five RBIs.
Luis Torrens had five RBIs last night.
Seattle's starting pitcher, Yusei Kikuchi pitched 4.1 innings, allowing three earned runs and struck out five batters.
Toronto's Vladimir Guerrero Jr. went three for five at the plate and Hernandez went three for four last night.
Jay's starting pitcher, Hyun-Jin Ryu pitched 6.1 innings, allowing four earned runs.
