A recap of yesterday's Toronto/Seattle Game Three.

The Toronto Blue Jays avoided the three game sweep yesterday, defeating the Seattle Mariners 8-3.

"It was a big win for us," said Jay's manager, Charlie Montoyo at the postgame press conference.

Teoscar Hernandez, Randal Grichuk, Corey Dickerson, and Marcus Semien all hit home runs for Toronto.

Jay's catcher, Alejandro Kirk, hit a two run double at the top of the third inning.

Hernandez and Santiago Espinal had three hits in yesterday's game.

Jay's starting pitcher, Steven Matz pitched five innings and allowed no earned runs.

Mariner's Kyle Seager hit a two run homer in the bottom of the eighth inning.

Mariner's J.P. Crawford went two for four at the plate.

Seattle's starting pitcher, Logan Gilbert pitched just four innings, allowing eight hits, and five earned runs.

The Jays are off today.

Toronto begins a two game mini series with the Washington Nationals tomorrow night.
