This Court

This court

that’s home to many dreams

is rife with plotting,

full of schemes.

The whispers come from

every wall,

and eyes will watch

to see one fall.

For all the airs

and all the graces,

this court is filled with

duplicitous faces;

machinations

permeate the place

and all is fair

that leaves no trace.
