Been years since our parting
I knew you would leave
I only had to acquiesce
My love wasn’t enough
To embrace your dream
To fill your world
Wondering you found happiness
Worrying how you’d been
Couldn’t make peace with
Sigh,
Illness came to me
Became frail and feeble
Your line was down
You were found nowhere
Are you coming home baby?
May not greet you with
Sweet smile that you loved
But don’t worry, my dear
You can find the place
Where I am lying down
Near the small Sunday church
Where we used to go
Please don’t get upset
Please don’t get sad
Am happy with memories
That we were together
Please bring me daisies
Leave next to headstone
Then I shall know
That you come home
You come to me
When crisp breeze touches you
You know I am around
Am giving the last kiss
Saying Goodbye to my love
Will you lean over
Whisper You Love Me
I shall feel warm
And sleep in peace
Beneath the frozen ground

For some reason, this poem's just taken me to my favorite number home sweet home by Motley Crew. (that was not a romantic love song though) Jator's works always bring me back to good memories ... old fading one.
Touching and moving poem - nostalgia about long departed love and what might have been... Sensitive and endearing piece! ????

Great piece. Always making me ride with your emotion, this time to profound loneliness. After reading this piece, I am wandering sometime and somewhere in my past when I had same loneliness and missed someone so much.
