Happy Being Sad

I thought I had buried it all.

But then every time it's my tears

That nurture the pain back alive

While killing a part of me again.

With its chambers full of flesh and blood

Nobody sees my heart is bleeding.

And that agony reforms as dreams

Which yet melt like snowflakes

after giving a moment of joy.

I was happy being sad

But now this unreal happiness brings fear.

I will wipe away my tears

If only you could promise

to live in my dreams forever.
