Lost among the scattered autumn leaves, the remnants of discarded love. . . . Parched and burned like autumn leaves that fall and float and finally come to final rest, so too abandoned love does float away and falls and breaks, and scatters with the wind.

LOST AMONG THE SCATTERED AUTUMN LEAVES

By Al Garcia

Lost among the scattered autumn leaves, the remnants of discarded love.

Parched and burned like autumn leaves that fall and float and finally come to final rest, so too abandoned love does float away and falls and breaks, and scatters with the wind.

Forgotten passions and deserted sentiments lost among the scattered autumn leaves, like golden needles in a haystack, unseen by eyes that no longer sparkle or exude the radiance that once entranced and beguiled.

And like the seasons that bring the changing winds of time, so too the bonds of love transform and change with the evolving heart and mind that blossoms and sometimes blooms with renewed awareness and singularity of purpose or of aspirations.

And like the leaves of autumn, there comes the time for love to break away and let the wind become its wings, and the tears of rain the strength that heals, and the rays of sun the breath that reignites the burning need to feel and love again.

Lost among the scattered autumn leaves, love not forgotten nor regretted, just the naturalness of time that grows, withers and dies.
