I'm having a party.

I'm inviting all my special friends.

I hope everyone can make it, they said they would be there.

We're going to play lots of games and eat my favorite food.

Pizza is my all time favorite. Lots of cheese.

Ice cream too, and of course cake.

But closer to the day, every one I invited has cancelled. I'm really disappointed.

But my parents told me , go back and ask the other kids, the ones that aren't your best friends.

So I did.

And you know what, those kids came.

They were happy to play the games and they said the pizza was great and loved the cake.

We had a great time, we laughed and were loud, and played together.

My parents were right, they helped me to have a fun celebration that I will always remember.

So remember this, just don't ask the important kids, ask the ones that aren't too.

They will become your best friends. And they will always be welcomed.
