When you're so close to someone the lines blur between are you still two people or are you one moving breathing organism. Is it all a projection?
The persona sweet talking the current self?

I found you encased in a dream wrapped in a scarlet flower. who knew you were waiting for me the whole time? Dreaming of the day I’d unwrap you. Remember me…? you opened your eyes and saw your reflection and for once you smiled.

Could it be that I am not myself, but you? I looked in your moonlit eyes that captured time and when I kissed you it was self-love.

Lovely piece En Raiter. It is very true that so often we lose ourselves to the other in love. Write On!

Classy and sexually evocative at the same time with that "unwrap you" line. "Opened your eyes and saw your reflection" is quite beautiful in both the literal and figurative senses.

There is an idea in the esoteric world that before the fifth root race came to dominate the Earth (humanity) we incarnated into the bodies of two headed beings that were both male and female called the Lemurians (I may be getting their actual name confused). According to this understanding the story of Adam and Eve is not about woman being created from man... But woman and the feminine being separated from the man and the masculine. From one two and then the two once again become one during the spiritual act of sex.

I don't know if that's true, but it begs the question... Was Adam's soul also split? Are we all born into this world missing half of our souls? I like the idea that everyone has someone out there that completes them in that way... But it is a bit depressing to dwell on. What are the odds that you, 1.) Find that other half in any given half, 2.) You don't screw things up, 3.) And that you are both in a healthy enough place to fully realize that coupling? It's a big world traumatizing world out there.

I know you come from a Biblical perspective... So regardless... Definitely the potential to being "one flesh" if only briefly.

Brother This I exactly what I was going for!
That bit of intimate sexual evocation is certainly directly traced to Prince's influence.

I didn't know about the Lemurians, but I'll look into them. You're right it is a biblical perspective I believe the Bible is all about one person yourself. Adam and Eve are representations of a split psyche that if we bring back into harmony we can return to the garden of Eden (heavenly headspace)

I have a different outlook on soulmates. It is uncharacteristically unromantic, but I believe your soul mate is anyone and everyone that gets you closer to the goal of divine individuation, which is just a pretentious way of saying consciously unconscious. This doesn't close the door on a particular romantic interest, which steps out of the sea of others and helps you in an incomparable way with you doing the same for them, but this isn't as you know all bliss. "I climbed a mountain of swords on my barefeet" -Bob Dylan

That person that gets you to take the most steps to me is your soul mate, often probably you're most

I can count on you to pick my favorite lines

I love this! I can totally identify with feeling almost like you’re losing yourself in someone else. It’s surreal and fleeting, coming in just special moments for me. It can be unnerving too!
