In the small town of Westco, Wisconsin, pass the north end of this three light town is a field with tall grass as trees act as it's border guards.

Several paths crisscross throughout this field.

One path leads to a pond that has lillies floating on its edges as the sound of frogs and crickets make small talk with each other.

Leading to the pond is an old rickety wooden dock with a few planks missing here and there and with a slight tilt to the right that juts out about twenty five feet from land.

At the edge of this dock sits two fourteen year olds, Kris and Pat.

They've known each other since kindergarten. Went through grade school together, and this year graduated the eight grade.

This coming school year, they will be going to the same high school with most of their friends that they also have been with since kindergarten.

But now, it's just Kris and Pat, sitting alone on the dock, dangling their feet in the cool water as the late afternoon sun shines down on them.

There is silence between them. The frogs and crickets providing background noise.

Kris looks at Pat.

Heart racing, mouth dry, anticipation of what will happen next, Kris reaches over and gives Pat a kiss.

Their lips pressed tightly, tongues twist and turn in each other's mouths.

Kris pulls away from Pat.

It was their first kiss. Their first real kiss for either one of them.

And now the hardest part for Kris.

How will Pat respond?

Seems pretty full-on for a first time!

It's a good question: Pat already responded. But not all of Pat.
