Someone held flames to your cheeks for 40 years

I looked at you under the light

while we were shrouded in darkness

I wiped soot from your face with my pinkie finger

They told you to drink the kerosene

and you'd feel better

You took a sip and then a thousand more

the flames ignited in your belly

all the times

you felt badly

burned away

You were pure

Like 151 rum

well... do you feel better now?
