Step This Way

If you’ll step this way,

I’ll give you a guided tour

of my mind.

Don’t expect lightness

or flowers that bloom,

for it’s gonna be dark,

drear,

where even the whiteness is

shadowed and grey.

Do you still want to

confront what I fear?

A chaotic place

where random thoughts tangle,

where any plain sense

will be put through a mangle

and left out to dry,

wrinkled and torn to shreds.

But dare to dig deeper

and still you might find patches

where wild flowers take seed

in a barren land,

introducing tiny glimmers

of color

in what would otherwise be

a monochrome space.

So if you want to take a guided tour,

step this way

but you’re free, of course,

to turn away.

Sluggy

Stepping out this way

Yep, that is you none the less. You may scare some, by the path thry must take to find your wonderful garden. Being a wee slug that lives in the deep forrest in the mountains... dark and scarry with wolves, bears, and other critters, its hard to scare my wee pea brain. Though we slugs love to nibble away ln flowers and other greenery. Perhaps seeing a yellowy slug dancing about in daylight will make scare off some when feeling safe amungst your flowers. You do have a simce of humor, so i can only imagine how far dark it treads. Mwhahahahahahahaha! :o)

Brilliant mate!
Those people that only paint a rosey pikkie of their psyche have a name... they're called "Liars"
