I left my footprint far behind

as I journeyed over the star

glade skies that wound about infinity.

I left my footprint far behind

the everglades that haunt the

fig-colored sky of boundless stars.

I walked along the shores of the moon;

the places that lie hidden in the dark,

a hiding place far from the sun.

I hopped over the sterling fences

that dot across the moon,

the ghost-like fences full of dreams

that keep out the nightmares

and allow in the adventures of childhood.

I took a ride on the smoky clouds of midnight

that whirl about like pillars of wisdom.

I left my footprint far behind

that other starstruck boots may follow

and wander until they find a home

the untouched place among the stars.
