Thoughts on the floating city,
My painting "On the Canal"

As we board the narrow craft,

And see the artful from a raft,

A melody is crooned above,

About a lovers pet, a dove.

The language its own, romantically,

Melancholy, and enchantingly,

Sets the stage for each voyage,

To docks that sit upon a ledge.

Epicurean delights abound,

At sunlit tables small and round.

Where laughter, song, and merriment,

Erase all worry and lament.

The highway is only a concept,

To those who float with pure content.

Gondolas ornately burnished,

And Villas so exquisitely furnished,

Create this dreamy circumstance,

Each sojourner a thrill advanced.

I still recall my voyage there,

A holiday with Love and care,

Where craftsmanship and art collide,

And pleasant dreams and Life abide.

Kossettes Novellettes I actually enjoyed that it was beautiful and I was honestly sucked into the entire thing. It had this gentle and romantic tone that I love when I read poems. I could see everything and feel the relaxed atmosphere in the setting. NIce work I loved it.
