A recap of last night's Toronto/Pittsburgh game.

Drew O'Connor

Pittsburgh Penguin's rookie, Drew O'Connor, scored two goals in a 7-1 rout over the Toronto Maple Leafs last night.

"It, (the game), got away from us," said Leaf's head coach, Sheldon Keefe at the postgame press conference,  "It's tough playing from behind."

Marcus Petterson had a goal and two assists for the Penguins.

Marcus Pettersson had three points last night.

Mike Matheson, Brian Boyle, and Evan Rodrigues also scored for Pittsburgh.

Penguin's goalie, Tristan Jarry stopped 28 shots last night.

Jason Spezza scored Toronto's lone goal.

After two periods, Leaf's goalie, Jack Campbell was replaced by Michael Hutchinson.

Toronto's Auston Matthews was pointless again.

Matthews had six shots on goal in 18:45 of ice time.

Toronto is now off to Carolina to face the Hurricanes tomorrow night.

Toronto, Montreal at the bottom of the standings. Both were to be top teams. But the season is long like a marathon race.
NY Rangers are doing well, but for me, let's see where they are in February.
They play Calgary on Monday at MSG.
