It feels so lonely when flying up here

But I can soar without a care

There’s so much time up here to think

It’s been a long time, I think

I can wait around for the clock

But instead I choose to talk

I remember there once was pain

It feels like a lifetime before

I can see my old self in you

I have some tips to help you through

Your depiction of me was vain

But didn’t you have the same-

Oh you’re pretty so you’re alright

Just don’t think about so much at night

If it was so easy I’d know

I’m not some God awful hoe

Can’t you see that I’m

Trying to make things right for us

You don’t appreciate the good in me

Because in yourself you don’t see

There’s more to your heart

It’s not anybody’s fault

There’s no book on how to adult

If we keep clinging to them

We will never see the end

We’ve been put in this place before

Bud this time our hearts can soar

We can reconnect once again

One day we’ll joke and say

Oh you’re pretty so you’re alright

Just don’t think about so much at night

If it was so easy I’d know

I’m not some God awful hoe

Can’t you see that I’m

Trying to make things right for us

You don’t appreciate the good in me

Because in yourself you don’t see

There’s more to your heart
