Heartbreaker’s Solitaire- A mental labyrinth of self-punishment, in which I killed off all my aspirations of romance and love for becoming a heartbreaker.

Heartbreaker’s Solitaire Part 1-Guilt & Punishment

September 20, 2021

I have slashed my skin

I have severed my very bones

With pieces of your broken heart

I’ve ripped to shreds my own

Should we ever meet

I will fall to my knees

I will cry bitter tears

I will beg your forgiveness

But should we meet

I will understand

If you’re no longer

A gentle man

And should you draw your words

Like a sword fresh from the flame

May it run me through

May it slice through my heart

For naively hurting you

Let the handle

Meet my flesh

Make me bleed

Make me cry

You confessed your love

And I asked you why

From a decent start

You offered me your heart

I missed every single sign

Like a blind fool

What do you honor?

What is your faith?

What are you morals?

Which ways are you directing your life?

I was too stunned to ask these questions

I’ve made a mess of your affection

To the you

Wherever you may rest your head

I’ll think of you and become sick

Over all the words I wish I’d said
